SLC 500 Controllers

The SLC 500 controller platform is a modular programmable control system designed for industrial automation, machine control, and process applications. Built around a chassis based architecture, the SLC 500 family supports a wide range of digital, analog, temperature, motion, and specialty I/O modules for flexible control system design.

SLC 500 systems are commonly used in manufacturing, material handling, water treatment, HVAC, packaging machinery, utilities, and industrial processing applications. The platform supports both local and distributed I/O configurations with communication options including EtherNet/IP, DH+, DH-485, DeviceNet, ControlNet, DF1, ASCII, and Remote I/O networks depending on processor and module selection.

The SLC 500 range includes processors, power supplies, chassis, communication modules, and 1746 series I/O modules. Systems can be configured using 4, 7, 10, or 13 slot chassis layouts with support for up to three local chassis and up to 30 local I/O or communication modules.

Available processor models include the SLC 5/01, 5/02, 5/03, 5/04, and 5/05 series with memory capacities ranging from 1K through 64K and support for up to 4096 inputs and 4096 outputs. Selected processors include built in Ethernet, DH+, DH-485, and RS-232 communication capabilities for integration with HMIs, SCADA systems, remote I/O, and industrial networks.
